….The Glory of His inheritance.

In John Ch..17: v22 Jesus prays And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one.

A)..What is this glory ?

In 1Kings 8:22-61 We have Solomon's prayer of dedication for the Temple, the work was complete

V27-28  But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot  contain

thee; how much less this house that I have built. Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee today.

In 2 Chron. 7 v1-3. The Divine confirmation is given. Now when Solomon had ceased praying, the fire

came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’s house.

B).. The Shekiah Glory of the All Mighty God. Filled the         house

The privilege which is ours today is now that glory within us not by our spirituality but by our faith to believe and act upon it

 

2 Cor 3:16-18 reminds us But whenever anyone turns to the Lord from his, then the veil is taken away. The Lord is the Spirit who gives them life, And when he is there, there is freedom (from trying to be saved by keeping the laws of God) But we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us we become more and more like  him.

C).. Power of Attorney

Secondly we also have the privilege of being partakers in prayer.

John 14 reminds us. And whatever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

v12. I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these he do, because I go unto my father.

Jesus not only has given us His name but also the right to act on his behalf in the affairs of man, he has given us power of attorney. It is a legal term meaning having the right to act on another behalf in all his affairs.

Conclusion.

We will only know His power and glory when appropriate all that the Almighty God through Jesus Christ has bestowed upon us.

QUESTION WHERE ARE WE TODAY?.

God wants to lead to lead one step at a time not mile by mile. He wont show the entire plan, just the next phase.
